Are you ready for some football?

**sorry for the delay in posts- I've been sick for the past 5 days**

With football season upon us... I decided to post pictures of my first Bucs game. My good friend Angela gave Crystal and I tickets. This was the day after I accidentally dyed my hair black.

This next picture is everyone shotgunning a beer- something I do not know how to do... perhaps that should be my goal for this football season.

He took me to mansion but I don't mean the club

Woke up at 4am today to catch my flight back home from NY. I had a great weekend with Abbie. Just to make all you girls jealous out there- My first night there he took me to his golf course to watch the perseid meteor shower. It was very sweet and very romantic.

My last night there we stayed in a mansion.
Where we had beers...

Beers...
and more beers...

Shenanigans...
pool and beers...

beer and beers...

Rewind Wednesday

St. Patty's Day 2006- Crystal, Casey, Sasha and I all went to the Rascal Flatts concert in Fort Myers. Donning our best cowboy hats, we sat through 2 opening acts only to learn that Rascal Flatts were" sick" and the concert was cancelled. (we later heard that they were actually too drunk to preform- which made me stop being a fan).

Best part of the night was the 4 of us in Sasha's car singing "I'm proud to be an American" at the top of our lungs.

Root root root for the home team

So the B-friend and I went to a baseball game last night. Two for Tuesday always draws an unusual crowd. Here are a few of the sights and sounds of that night:

1- One of my biggest pet peeves- a young floozy in 3" heels and a black dress
2- "This wiener is pale"
3- My favorite- 3 old men sitting behind us debating on the best pitchers of all time
4- An eight year old girl wearing the exact same shorts I wore to work that day (no more shopping at Forever 21)
5- The little girl in front of us charging her brother and sister for each bite of cotton candy they took "that bite is 10 cents!"
6- Everyone moving higher to the metal bleachers and metal overhang when the lightening storm hit
7- Abbie and I shouting encouraging remarks to the batter:
"Come on #22! We have faith in you!"
"Way to go #13- we knew you could do it!"
"That's ok #21 you did your best!"
8- 3 ticket attendants singing a capella at the stadium bar

Let's hear it for the White Blue and Red !

There is something about fireworks that make you want to be with the one you love. Since the one I love is in NY- I decided that I would celebrate the 4th with my own red, white and blue.

Starting with WHITE sands

BLUE Jello-O Shots

And ending with a RED sunburn

**btw- if you ever want to see something really gross- Google the word "sunburn."

Abbley Road Trip 2009

Last week I returned from my 6 day road trip with Abbie- from Florida to New York. Between moving and traveling- I haven’t had the chance to blog. Now that I’m back to my routine, I should be more consistent.

So- I’m dying to share our vacation- I won’t bore you with all the details – just the highlights

1st Stop- Orlando: to visit Abbie’s friend Jason and Sue
•At the winery Sue forgot her ID and had to drink juice at the wine tasting.
•Drank margaritas and played Seinfeld Scene It (how to be a winner and a loser at the same time)

2nd Stop- Savannah:
Haunted Pub Crawl- had some beers- scared the oldest man in our group and forced a friendship on another couple on the tour (they hung out with us the rest of the night)

•Our first bar had a punching bag machine where a guy put in $50 ($1 per punch) we ooohhh and ahhhh at his macho-ness so that he would give us a few shots.

3rd Stop- South of the Border – the pictures explain it all

4th Stop- Raleigh
•Had an awesome 4 star hotel- bought popcorn from the movie theatre, champagne from Target and watched a movie in our room on our huge HD TV screen.

5th Stop- Shenandoah Valley
•Forgot firewood, food, water and music.
•Drank 2 bottles of champagne and played Last Word all night
•Couldn’t sleep for the rest of the night because there was a rat in the wall
•Shenandoah Scenic Highway- it was so foggy we couldn’t see any of the scenery.

6th Stop- Luray Caverns
•check out the pictures – amazing place
•Abbie’s favorite part of the trip – the garden maze

Last stop- New York – Abbie’s home for the summer.

party poopers

A friend from high school wrote the following as his Facebook status:

Oh boy....Cinco De Mayo.......Yet another excuse for Americans to get drunk and act like morons.....no wonder we are falling behind in the world....we take all of the other countries holidays and use them as an excuse to kill brain cells

Well old friend of mine, sounds like you could really use a cerveza. Get over yourself- there is nothing wrong with having fun.

Speaking of… I treated my man to dinner last night and you bet your ass we drank Margaritas.

Kicking it old school

Lack of subject matter is forcing me to kick it myspace style and do a survey blog. Enjoy.

I Am:

A lean mean blogging machine.

I Want:

A nice place to live that is in a great neighborhood… or a puppy

I Have:

One hand in my pocket and the other is playing a piano.

I Wish:

I had the DVD set of “How I Met Your Mother”

I Hate:

When I’m witty after the fact.

I Fear:

Tornadoes and frogs or worse- a tornado of frogs!

I Hear:

You got beef?!

I Search:

With Google

I Wonder:

Who READ the book of love- much less who wrote it

I Regret:

Not learning how to take shots in college

I Love:

Puppies, cupcakes, and AbbieV

I Ache:

I burn! I yearn!

I Always:

Say- “Dance like no one’s watching”

I Usually:

Lie about things “I always say”

I Am Not:

A crook!

I Dance:

With glow sticks

I Sing:

Down down do ya thang do ya thang

I Never:

Look a gift horse in the mouth- ever.

I Rarely:

Make friend with people who use the word “hater”

I Cry:

At every episode of Extreme Home Makeover

I Am Not Always:

Going to be this boring- I promise- follow me anyway.

I Lose:

To no one!

I'm Confused:

About that hair bump some girls wear.

I Need:

Extensions in my hair and bamboo earrings – at least 2 pairs.

I Should:

Be more active so I have something REAL to blog about.

I Dream:

Of Sparks and Doritos.

And as an added bonus- an old school pic of me, Jen and Crystal posing like Paris Hilton.

Abbley Sushi Review

Last night we went to the super exclusive Abbley Sushi for dinner. Besides having a super hot wait staff/chefs- Abbley Sushi had pretty good rolls! We ordered:

1) The Way Too Much Rice Roll
2) The Way Too Much Wasabi Roll
3) Ashley's Loadedwithdelicious Roll
4) Abbie's WannaBe Ashley's Roll Roll

Later we chopped up this dog and made a roll out of her as well.

The Smurfs are stupid

Tonight we met up with some friends for trivia night at the English Pub. What a disaster. We were the worst team there – answering only 33 of 70 questions correctly. To top it off we had this guy staring down at us in disappointment.
We decided though that we were hands down the youngest and best looking people in the bar and that – as we all know- always trumps being smart.
(our team name was “Smurfs” which was the only answer to a question that we didn’t have to guess)

All growns up!

Being 28 means no more toilet papering your friend’s car because she parked in your spot and no more leaving STD literature on her windshield so the rest of the school can see.

Nope- instead, being 28 means dressing up to meet said friend and her new hubby at a decent restaurant- order only one drink - not 6- and have a civilized dinner. Then laugh and laugh at all of the ridiculous things you did before you were 28.

(silly pictures in front of absurd statues are thankfully still allowed) ** I miss you Lisa***

15 miles to the....

Loovvvee Shack! I didn't get the chance to put together my gingerbread house for Christmas. My "easy to assemble" kit has been sitting on the counter since, well, Christmas. So, with Valentine's Day coming up- I thought I would express my creativity and make a Love Shack instead. As you can see... I had a little trouble...

From Yeehaw to Hopa!

So this weekend was interesting. Saturday we put on our best wife beaters, met up with a bunch of people and went to a rodeo. There weren’t many people there- which is surprising considering it is South Florida. The people that did attend were a mix of camouflaged jacket wearing southerns along with a handful of "rode-hos" who were decked out in glittery tops, tons of makeup and stilettos. The rodeo itself wasn’t that spectacular so we had to supplement our fun with beer, picture taking contests and a game we called “beat the clock.” All in all- it was a good time.

The on Sunday, Abbie and I went to the Greek Festival in town. There we had loaded Gyros, baklava and beer while watching some traditional Greek dancing. Hopa!

My trip to EPCOT with Jen and Brothers...
1. Did you see P.S. I love you too? Wait- there is a sequel?
2. Get up on that top step! You were a gymnast for God’s sake! Now let me see that karate kick!
3. (watching the China gymnast girls) I can’t watch this- what if they fall? I can’t watch.
5. Did you notice that the Disney employee got a little “happy” talking to us?
6. Wait! (switches the margarita for a beer)now take the picture.
7. That guy said two words to us – and you two walk up and he tells you his whole college career! 8. The gloves are off!
9. Old man giving me dap- “FGCU! YEAH!”
10. It’s the accent isn’t it? Do you say things like “ehhhh… how you sey….?” Um. No.
11. Disney worker trying to impress us- “yeah, when I was in 11th grade I dual enrolled. I mean- why not? Right?”
12. UCF was FGCU’s sister school. No it wasn’t! No it wasn’t! Why do you lie?!
13. Bryan- “Wasn’t UCF FGCU’s sister school?” (I had to say something or she would talk to us all night!)
14. Jackasses feeding the seagulls. Can we move!? It's going to attack me!
14. Cockroach under Jen’s pillow. Classic.
15. Why are you being “eh lettel beetch?”
16. I am so hungry I am eating popcorn!
17. (Anthony protecting us from guys) Hahahahaha… keep on walking buddy- they have boyfriends!
18. Why are we bringing 5 cameras?
19. “Did you say you need your gay card?!” You see my family? I have an accent -they don’t help me- they just make fun of me.
20. *answering his phone* “WHAT DO YOU WANT!!!???” (oh- he must be talking to his mom)
21. The race to EPCOT- you know they are parked sideways on the curb with the engine running 22. Pull up to this lady! I swear she is eating the biggest chunk of cheese between two pieces of bread!

23. I don't like to kiss on the cheek- next time that happens I'm going to snarl at the person so they'll back off.
24. (someone puking out the window while we were driving)

Girls Gone Wild

Crystal's "low key" bachelorette party turned out to be one of the best parties I've ever been apart of. It reminded me of our wild days - back when we were considered to be in our "early twenties" and we would hit up Larry's or go to concerts with our Meyers and Dr. Pepper... loaded.

Although the bar was fun and there were plenty of people that wanted to participate in our celebration- the slumber party afterwards was by far the best. Nothing beats good girlfriends, drinks, calorie laden snacks (including a penis cake), and singing "girls just wanna have fun" at the top our lungs.
